What exactly is a Murphy Bed?
Murphy Beds are beds that are vertically stored inside a wall cabinet, opening downward when you need it.  Originally invented for the Urban cities of the North in the early 1900's, the space-saving features of the Murphy Bed have led to their rediscovery in the last decade, Generally they are referred to as a wall bed, but that term may also be associated more with the Panel Bed system.

Are these the same beds that are featured in old movies and T.V. shows?
Thankfully, they are not quite.  The concept is the same, but we can safely say our product won't come crashing down on you.  Today's Murphy Bed has been improved both for comfort and for ease of use.

Are Murphy Beds like Futons? Hard, Lumpy and Uncomfortable?
Murphy Beds are nothing of the sort.  Unlike Futons and sofa beds, Murphy Beds do not require a folding mattress.  This means you are sleeping on a quality innerspring mattress without the bars and lumps associated with sofa beds or futons.  We've had customers tell us that these mattresses are even more comfortable than their "everyday bed". The only difference is we have our mattress made for vertical storage, so they don't fold or slouch in the cabinet after sitting for months.

Are Murphy Beds difficult to open and close?
Our Murphy Bed products are easy to lift up and down because the frame is counter-balanced. They are so light that you could literally lift it with one finger. Children included.

Will you design a room to fit my needs for free?
We gladly work to use our Cad Software to design a room that utilizes the space you already have. They are free to be viewed and edited how you like with the help of a consultant at our showroom. However, if you want to take the drawings out of the store, there will be a $75 design fee. This fee will be refunded if you make the purchase.
